An Amazon organized event to help sellers increase their products' visibility

As an initiative by the Amazon Sponsored Product’s team, a face-to-face event was recently organized in Bangalore that focused on answering the one question that many sellers have in mind - “With tens of thousands of sellers on selling crores of products, how will my products get noticed by buyers on” This problem of discoverability of products and how sellers could improve their chances of visibility was addressed in depth during this ‘Amazon Sponsored Product Seller Meet’.

Mr. Durga Dash, who heads program management for Amazon Sponsored Products, initiated the discussion with a small presentation. It took sellers through the various business cases where advertising can help get more sales. For example: Moving slow moving inventory or introducing a new product. Sellers were also made aware of the premium placements where their ads would appear on One of our optimization experts, Kailash, also conducted a live demo to show how it takes less than 2 minutes to create a Sponsored Products campaign. The forum gave participating sellers the opportunity to get some of the most challenging questions answered like: “What should I do differently during the festival season to get more sales on Amazon. in?” and “How do I decide the bid for my ad campaigns?” and “If I advertise, will I be able to reach customers both on mobile app and desktop?”.

Post the presentation, we allocated some time to provide one on one assistance and guidance to sellers on how to start using and optimizing Sponsored Product campaigns. Amazon associates examined the campaigns of different sellers and provided them with tips and suggestions that helped in optimizing their campaigns and being ready for the upcoming festive season.

At the end of the event, all our attending sellers were presented a special certificate of participation and a detailed product guide which provides in-depth information about Sponsored Products. Enthusiastic Sellers from cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad and New Delhi attended this event and here is what a few of them had to say about it:
