New shipping settings to help manage pan-India sales better

Amazon recently launched a new feature to help online sellers increase the flexibility in managing their pan-India sales. Starting April 30, 2018, the modified shipping settings in Seller Central will provide you with the flexibility to:

Select specific regions across India (such as specific states, cities or pin codes) to deliver your products to customers by creating shipping template(s).

Set tailor-made shipping charges / rates based on the shipping times by area / geography as defined by you in the shipping template(s).

Create multiple shipping templates in Seller Central based on your needs for different products in your catalogue. Once you create your new template, you can assign this shipping template to multiple products in your catalogue.

Retrieve all historical shipping templates in Seller Central.

We believe that this would provide an easier and more transparent experience for customers as they search and discover your offers.

In order to access the modified shipping settings, please log into your Seller Central account, go to ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Shipping Settings’. The shipping regions in your default shipping template will be configured for national shipping. This means that your products will be shippable to all serviceable pin codes in India. We urge you to configure your shipping regions and edit your shipping templates based on your preference and convenience.
